finally

finally a sunny day after 23 consecutive rainy ones. The weather people say it's the wettest season in over 150 years..I'm wondering how many polar ice caps have pissed on this boot.
Not today, hallelujah, I'm going to celebrate and go for a long walk in the park.
Nevicatosotto has taken a train north to the alps with friends- to be nevicatosotto again. I'm a little jealous, not of the friends but of being able to visit the Alps in winter, which is one of my all time favorite city escapes. A mini trip to the Appennini has been roughly sketched for my near future but they don't excite me the way the Alps do. I'm a total Alps are Magnificent fan. I've never felt as infatuated with any other mountain ranges, though I have a fondness for mountains in general.
Senz Gillian +Rosalyn the apartment seems very quiet, until Pippo visits of course.
My stomach feels much better after being treated w/several antacid tablets, prune acti-something yogurt and bran yesterday- think I'll continue the therapy today. Cold food isn't as nice in winter as warm food.
I'm suffering quite a bit from ABQ homesickness, being here w/house there. I saw a free 50's dinette set w/matching benches being offered in ABQ through the net yesterday and bit my tongue to not call the fellow who posted the ad. There is a school spring break next April and I'd like to fly to 217 to do some spring gardening work- to plant some trees, but I'm having a hard time justifying to myself the expenditure for only ten days of possible labor...and then I'd have to arrange for regular waterings too, but it's true April is a better time to plant trees than June when I'll be going out there anyway. Maybe I can justify the expenditure catagorizing it under special circumstances; the special circumstance of never having had a house before that needs landscaping+ plants so badly. Yesterday I fantasized that the people who are going to fix the sidewalk outfront which has a protruding gap between two slabs- are going to have a backhoe too and for an extra 30 bucks would pull up the useless cement slab in the back yard.
