in the big bag

Somedays, like today for instance, I don't tolerate not being able to visit my house in ABQ well.. It's there, fairly empty. As I understand, to date it has some towels, maybe a small rug or two, toilet paper, a refridgerator, and some wooden chairs inside it. It also has a dishwasher that it inherited from the previous owner along with a stove oven, but who knows how well they function?
Ever since the deal went through I've been tossing items that will go there into a couple of boxes.
Sometimes I look at my books and reflect about which ones I'll send there eventually and which I'll leave behind.
Today I was putting away all the Christmas glup- the tree is back out on the terrace with its friends the miraculous peperoni, strawberry, and parsley. Opening the upper closet doors revealed my largest travelling bag. It is so large that Gillian and I could both fit inside it if we curled up, and be able to have it zipped.
There is plenty of stuff our Rome apartment can spare so I began stuffing items into the bag. So far it has;
2 transparent pale green wide and long curtain panels
3 dragons
A pair of unframed 1920s sepia photographs of an unknown couple
An extraordinary witch's broom
A bedcover
A candlestick
My Elvis lunchbox
An astral plane
Pinocchio
a teeny weeny present for my brother Mr. Blog
and a rolled up rug.
I think I might use a basket for my carry on--in it I hope to put;
A collection of animal cups-elephant, tiger, gazelle, leopard, rhino, giraffe etc.
An oversized tea pot from the Beauty and the Beast
A small antique blue glass outdoor candle lantern
The 217 talisman
The egg rocks, I think, will go in the other suitcase.
